Secondary Isolation Plate 1.8 metre OD

At MMP Marine & Inspection, innovation is at the heart of everything we do — especially when it comes to overcoming complex site constraints. One recent project required the design and installation of a bespoke secondary isolation plate within a narrow, high-risk confined space.

This wasn’t a standard installation. The access was extremely limited, and the working environment presented significant challenges for both the engineering and confined space teams. To overcome these obstacles, our in-house fabrication department developed a modular isolation plate system specifically tailored for this task. Designed in sections, the plate could be safely transported through restricted entry points and assembled in situ by our experienced dive team.

The modular design not only ensured the integrity and strength of the isolation system once installed, but also allowed for efficient deployment in a space that would otherwise have made conventional solutions unworkable.

This project is a testament to our ability to combine engineering expertise with practical, on-site problem solving delivering tailored solutions that meet the unique demands of the water industry.
